I use the snack size for storing veggies in the fridge drawers. One for celery, one for carrots and one for mushrooms. No more wilting in the plastic bags and containers you buy them in! I tried paper bags (which tore easily in the drawer) for mushrooms, they dehydrated and wrinkled if not used promptly. The snack size beeswax bag kept them a couple weeks! If some of the carrots are really long, I cut them in half to fit in the bag to keep them fresh. I’m sticking with these!

I ordered a beeswax-infused bread bag to help extend the shelf life on freshly baked bread , and it worked! Bag is large, sturdy, and looks great too. Will also make a great gift for someone. Happy to support a small business too!

Love these pretty bags for my sourdough bread! They work great! Highly recommend!

First off, the quality of the bag is excellent. The fabric designs are charming. Mostly, the bag works! It does exactly what it promises. I love how the crust stays crisp and the bread fresh.

I'm a new sourdough bread baker and have been looking at ways to keep it fresh for the two of us. My friend suggested this beeswax bag and I like the coverage and convenience over a large wrap, especially when other household members are sealing it up. So far we are very pleased with this product, the super fast delivery and appearance. We will be ordering more!

The freeze dried sourdough starter performed beautifully! The process was so easy and my first loaf of bread turned out so well! I had tried to make a starter on my own without success, so I knew I needed help. I was so excited to get started when it arrived that I rehydrated the starter right away about 6pm. I began the feedings as directed, making sure my flour was unbleached, the water was filtered to remove chlorine, and the starter grew while in the turned-off oven with the light on (it was surprising how warm was the inside of the oven with just the light on). My starter was probably ready by 6pm on the fourth day, but I wanted to wait until the next morning to start the breadmaking process. I fed the starter one more time so it would be ready in 12 hours. Thankfully I put a large piece of parchment paper in the bottom of the oven to catch any drips, because it would have been a huge mess! The starter was ready, I followed the recipe for sandwich bread, and the loaves turned out beautifully! I put some of the starter into the refrigerator, and I'm looking forward to making the Boule loaf. It's so exciting to have a product work so well with excellent directions and so fulfilling to bake my own sourdough loaf!

I just got a second shipment of waxed bags because I love them, including a few small ones, so I can properly share our sourdough with our friends. They are beautiful and bright and happy and filled with good stuff! We also bought another spurtle for our kitchen and a few to share because it is the "spork" of the kitchen! We use it for everything, and it is so smooth and the wood is beautiful. We love our purchases!

I have been looking for just the RIGHT bread bag for quite awhile. I wanted USA made and Organic. This is exactly what I found at Five Oaks. I recently took one of my bags to a local Baking School class (Brioche). It was a hit. Several other students asked about it and wanted to take pictures of the postcard included.
I love the fact that my freshly made bread can last, stay fresh and not mold. A win-win especially in this economy. 😊

Absolutely love this bag! I have been struggling to find something that would keep my sourdough longer than a couple days. This does the trick for about a week!

I like the dough sling; no oil or parchment paper needed. I wish I’d had one sooner as it makes baking your bread so easy. Thank you for offering this with the other bread necessities and tools.
